This morning I set myself the challenge of picking a sketch from my sketchbook and painting it using photoshop.
I spent an hour and a half on this piece. This is a selection of the different stages I went through and the final piece.
If i'd given myself more time, i'd like to have added more detail to the face and fix the shadows on the neck which are not quite right, but it was a "how much can I get done in a set amount of time" challenge.
I can always go back to it and refine it more anyway.
For someone with about a week and a halves experience in digital painting, i'm more than happy with how its turned out.
I've went back and refined it a little more still not 100% though.
